Below are three glass bead garland designs with bead counts and links to the beads used. These garlands all follow the same simple pattern sequence and use only four different bead types per style. Red + silver, aqua + silver, and gold + silver yield a beautiful result and mix well with a wide range of decor, but each style can also easily be customized by substituting other bead colors -- we've created 13 additional variations to guide you.

Be sure to leave at least 3/4" of slack in your completed garland to allow it to drape.
Red & Silver is a classic Christmas color combo. The different bead textures used in this garland add subtle interest.

End: A
Your garland will begin with PATTERN REPEAT and end with END. String Pattern Repeat onto your cord and repeat this sequence 22 times. End your garland with END: one quilted drop. Completed length is approximately 71" which is 5 ft. 11 in.

Aqua & Silver is a gorgeous color combo. The similar bead sizes used in this garland keep it uniform in width making is a great style to mix with simple round bead garlands.

These glossy silver round beads have four handpainted green indents -- one indent on each side of the bead. They are handmade in Victorian era molds in the Czech Republic. They're blown and silvered by hand. These are thin and hollow glass beads made especially for Christmas garlands, decorations and ornaments; they are not appropriate for jewelry.
